Stromer electric bike review – the best electric bicycle

.

www.nycewheels.com The Stromer electric bike by Legacy E- Ride is currently one of the most powerful and highest quality electric bicycles in the US. The Stromer eBike has a dual mode system that lets you choose between automatic Power assist or Throttle-only joy riding. Its beefy, 600 watt, brush-less, gear-less motor is 100% maintenance free. Stromer uses a high end 36 volt Lithium-Ion battery pack with 10ah (360 watt/hours) capacity to support long and fast riding. Even with it’s high capacity the battery still small and light enough to make the Stromer feel and handle like a regular mountain bike rather than an electric moped. Stromer electric bikes are designed for the Alps of Switzerland. Expect the finest quality and craftsmanship – a bike that can help you up a hill that most mountain goats would struggle with. @doubletriplerainbow if u buy all the parts and build it yoursel you can go far faster and similar distance

    @ianman20011— I tried many bikes like Stromer and A2B but they have really bad performanceand $2800 is tooo much !! compared with the Busettii bikes made in the USA. The Big 50 Mile Bike by Busettii that I have will go over 50 miles on a charge but still has more torque and speed than these over priced bikes I tried. Busettii’s are about $1800 and also made in USA. Can cruise at 27 mph Sincerely Rainbow

    Thanks again for these videos, they’re the best on Youtube. very convincing

    @nycewheels if theres an issue with weight, then theres lipo! tons of power and range. as for danger, yes their mopeds and they should be driven with care but this is what your hydraulic discs are for!

    You folks always have the best, most crisp demos and videos. Peter is superb at showing all the important points and never exaggerates. Great work, you make if fun to watch all your product displays because you guys seem to be having fun sharing with us. Thanks.

    @ianman20011 Those more powerful bikes are available but should really be considered mopeds. They are too heavy and don’t ride well at all, we tested and sold pretty much all of them many years back. We even build dual motor 2000 watt bikes – fun to do but no range and too heavy, poor handling and way too dangerous. -Bert

  8. ianman20011 says:

    rly weak, smallest bike to buy should be 1000w motor with a 12ah or more battery

  9. nycewheels says:

    @dkw12002 The 600 Watt motor of the Stromer could definitely help you up that hill with far less effort, but you’d still have to pedal. Worst case scenario could be 5 miles depending on your weight, steepness of hills, wind resistance, temperature, etc. With pedaling the Stromer can get 20 miles of mildly hilly riding. Without pedaling on the same course it might get 10 miles. Steeper hills and no pedaling definitely shorten the range. -Peter

    @InuvikPhil We do! -Peter

  11. dkw12002 says:

    The reason I do not ride my bike more is that I live at the top of a very steep hill. It is possible to pedal up the hill in the lowest gear of any good bicycle, but it is no fun. The hill is about 200 yards. Would the Stromer stall out or would it make it up the hill? What protects the electric engine if the load is too great? Also, if I used only battery with no pedaling plus hills on a full charge, how long could I ride…worst case scenario? 5 miles, 10 miles?

  12. InuvikPhil says:

    awesome videos. Do you ship to Canada?

  13. Mineav says:

    Why not just buy a Yamaha/Honda/Ninja 250cc motorcycle for half the price, and have a real bike?

    Pretty cool, but way too expensive for the end result.

  14. cessnaid says:

    @LexTNeville Yes! I’ve read up on em, they are fully waterproof as they are made for stuff like mud and hills, it has pro motocross like suspension, for the price it better be good

    nice :)

  16. poore111 says:

    @BrandonNielsen87 I am a commuter cyclist right now and my Cannondale gets me there and back just fine, this is a cool electric bike though.

  17. BrandonNielsen87 says:

    @poore111, yeah, $10,000 is too big of an investment for an electric bicycle. It’s hard to tell if it’s really worth the money. :/ A bike in general, I think, is a brilliant way to save money for a better automobile, but for this one, it’s hard.

  18. poore111 says:

    @BrandonNielsen87 Classic Honda motorcycle.

  19. BrandonNielsen87 says:

    @poore111, whatever makes you happy. :) Are you talking about a classic Honda car?

  20. poore111 says:

    @BrandonNielsen87 All that taken into consideration, if I had 10k in my hands and had to choose it would be a nice classic honda, good on gas and you can turn it into a sexy cafe racer all for around 5 grand.

  21. BrandonNielsen87 says:

    @poore111, motorcycle is cool, but if you use motorcycle, you’re stuck on the road along with cars. With an electric bike, you can ride it anywhere. Dirt roads, downhill, uphill, roads, sidewalks, and even bike trails. Oh, and with an electric bike, you don’t need to insure it, plus don’t need to pay for gas.

  22. poore111 says:

    For 10 grand I will be buy a motorcycle.

  23. mrhotmale99 says:

    0:30 what a slow motorbike rider! then again he was carrying plastic bags on the handlebars lol. you would never see that in australia

    @MessIahmake I see your point regarding hydrogen fuel cells. They are the future and have been guaranteed a safe option .The problem people have with hydrogen is that they always think of the hydrogen bomb so it scares them.Iv’e heard that it is safer than normal gas/petrol in motor vehicles. The only problem has been creating the infrastructure to support hydrogen.Look up Honda Clarity and you will see the future of motor transport.
